Why are bath spaces so important? The better question is why shouldn’t they have the same level of attention as other highly-used spaces? Thoughtful bathroom design enhances our sense of well-being and of sanctuary when we need that. It is an extension of the design sensibilities of a home or public space. It can be a place to showcase something special, and to delight the eye when stepping inside. Other than addressing all the needed functions, there are no rules in bathroom design. Without good lighting design - there cannot be good interior design! Take a second to process this.

The most outstanding designs for interiors would fall flat without the corresponding ambient, task and accent lighting for both function and aesthetics to illuminate the forms and textures that delight the eye.
